Hey!
I am so excited to share with you my brand new single, "Should I..." This has always been one of my favorite songs. It was really fun to write and is even more fun to sing! "Should I..." is a song that definitely steps outside of the box, lyrically and musically. Most of my music is fairly stripped down, summery, feel-good, and honest.
"Ring, ring I see your name pop up on my screen"
"Should I..." is a woman's response to a man asking her to "come over." The concept of "come over" is very common in music, such as, Sam Hunt/Kenny Chesney's "Come Over"and Chris Young's "I'm Coming Over." So, I wanted to emphasize that moment when the individual asks herself, "Should I..."
"My heart's already gone // But, my head says no, wait // No, no wait hold on"
"Should I..." is a conversation. It is a conversation between a man and a woman. It is a conversation a woman may have with herself when a man asks her to "come over." There are countless songs that touch upon a man telling a woman to "come over" or vice versa. "Should I..." is that moment of deciding what you want and how you want to be treated.
Whether it is a back and forth relationship or a budding relationship, "Should I..." embodies the thoughts and feelings one has when trying to make up his or her mind regarding that relationship.
"We've been here before // Walked through this same door // I want a gentleman that's all I'm asking for"
I hope you enjoy listening to "Should I..." and let me know what you think! Available on iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, and more!
xx, Alexandra🌺

Ring, ring
I see your name
Pop up on my screen
You say, “If you’re alone
I’m alone too
Why don’t we keep each other company”
Now I find myself
Contemplating as you’re saying
All the wrong right things
But, Should I go over
My heart’s already gone
But my head says no, wait
No, no wait hold on
‘Cause when you get closer
I get weaker and fall deeper
With every touch, every kiss,
Every look pulling me in
No, I can’t resist
You say, “baby, man I wanna see you
Won’t you come visit me?
I know you said no and usually I let it go
But, I was just thinking
Now tell me,
What’s the harm in taking?”
But, Should I go over
My heart’s already gone
But my head says no, wait
No, no wait hold on
‘Cause when you get closer
I get weaker and fall deeper
With every touch, every kiss,
Every look pulling me in
No, I can’t resist
But, Should I go over
Yeah, we’ve been here before
Walked through this same door
I want a gentleman
That’s all I’m asking for
There’s no denying
The chemistry between
You and me
We can’t quit these feelings
But, if you want me
You need to treat me
Like a lady
That’s how it’s gotta be
But, Should I go over
My heart’s already gone
But my head says no, wait
No, no wait hold on
‘Cause when you get closer
I get weaker and fall deeper
With every touch, every kiss,
Every look pulling me in
But, Should I go over
My heart’s already gone
But my head says no, wait
No, no wait hold on
‘Cause when you get closer
I get weaker and fall deeper
With every touch, every kiss,
Every look pulling me in
No, I can’t resist
